Summer is in Full Swing!

So, I know I have been a little neglectful of this Summer edition- I'm sorry about that! A lot of things have happened in the last couple of weeks and Summer is in full swing.

My online Summer semester class has begun and my job has started as well! This online class is a lot more than I bargained for- to be honest. I'm sticking with it, but the struggle is real y'all.

A few really awesome things have occurred! I went to a painting class with my boss before tourist season really kicked in and it was so fun! We painted flip flops against a white picket fence with the ocean in the background. It turned out really cute.

MaryLou graduated high school this past weekend! I'm so proud of her. She'll be attending UNCG in the Fall. She found out she was assigned to an on-campus apartment with a kitchen and her own bedroom- just like me! We're both pretty excited about that. Speaking of dorms for next year- I have already started a dorm room corner in my room! I have bought my bedspread, plates, mason jar cups, and a lot of cute kitchen things! I'm so thrilled about it you guys!

Our graduate- Kels, ML, and I!

I am sitting here catching up on my 3rd season of Dawson's Creek- oh yes. I'll leave you guys with this little update. I know it's short. I'll be writing again soon! I'm going to breakfast with MaryLou and Sam tomorrow morning, I'm sure you guys will be hearing about it. It will be nice to catch up on the past couple of weeks! I have 82 days of Summer left. I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend!

Planning a little Ahead.

This will not be a daily blog, but I did reach a goal today that I had set for myself months ago! I successfully signed up for a summer biology class at a local community college today. I'm thrilled that I was able to get in- I hadn't been able to for a couple of weeks because I am a summer transfer student and those take to the backburner on the priority list. I'm taking this class to get ahead a few credits for next year. Science (and math) are not my favorite subjects, so I thought I would do this class separately and really concentrate on it. Plus, I don't have to worry about it this next semester. I'm so thankful I was able to get registered!

I received my final grades today from UNCC: 3 A's and 2 B's. I really am proud of myself for those two B's. College Algebra and Psychology reaaaaally kicked my butt this semester, but I passed both with a miracle. Honestly, I would have taken any grade that let me pass the class and get it behind me. I am extremely ready to get these general education classes out of the way and to start working on my major and minor. I get to dabble in a few classes this upcoming semester that let me see a little more of what elementary education is all about and I'm super stoked.

Anyway, this was just a little update. I hope everyone's summer is going fantastically! I see some beach days in my future very soon! Only 98 days left to my summer vacation.

Whoopsies!

My summer break started off with a bang...well more like a drop. A drop of doom. I was getting out of the car and I dropped my iPhone and the screen shattered. Oh my goodness, I was devastated...and am still currently devastated. I have dropped that dang phone so many times before, but you know...let's wait to break when I need it the most...for all my summer selfies! Obvi.

Anyway, I'm hoping to get it fixed later in the week. Y'all it was like I had dropped a baby. I was so scared to pick it up, I just knew it had cracked. Oh yes, it most certainly did. Take a gander at the remains.

On a brighter note, today was Mother's Day! Drew came home from Raleigh and mom, dad, and I met him in Leland for lunch to celebrate. Then, we hit the Goodwill! Drew went back to Raleigh and we three came home. I feel like I have been on 'go' all day. I just finished unpacking everything in my room from school. WHY DO I HAVE SO MUCH STUFF? I'm completely settled in now and officially ready to begin my summer!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day! It's time to get this week going in full swing. Only 99 days left until my Sophomore year of college begins!

Starting of my Summer!

I love adding new things to my blog and expanding. Thanks for heading over this way and checking it out!

I started off my first day of summer yesterday by taking the 3 and 1/2 drive back home from Charlotte. Oh, I am so happy to be home! I unpacked almost everything, I just have to figure out where it's all going to go. I took a little break from that today and enjoyed a delish iced coffee from my two favorite baristas, MaryLou and Sam! Sam will be at UNCC next year and I am so excited! ML will be going to UNCG next year and I can't wait to see how much those two ladies love college!

I am back home now, currently debating whether or not I should just live out of suitcases this summer or not. Not, most likely, but unpacking is not my forte. I'm so happy to be sharing my summer plans with you all. I'll share these posts on Facebook and Twitter just like I share my Because College ones. Stay tuned for what's ahead!
